August 14 - Crank The Shield is just over a month away! Spots are still available, but we are shutting down registration for this event on August 31!
Saturday, September 13 from 9am – 12pm at the main parking area of the Durham Forest we’ll have an early registration option. Riders looking to get their number plates, event bag, and all of their goodies in advance of the race can come to the main parking lot and pick up their packages and get signed in. For a Google Map to Durham Forest click here . Durham Forest is located 45 minutes Northeast of Toronto, and it offers great free mountain bike riding so definitely bring your bike. Keep in mind this is not necessary, however it is a nice option for riders looking to get stuff taken care of in advance of the race.
Chico Racing is pre-riding the race course towards the end of this month as we have been waiting for dry weather to give the course a proper run. For some valuable information on the course, and wet weather riding see Sean Ruppel's blog in the training section of Crank The Shield. Hopefully if forecasters are right we'll have a very dry August and September!
